Jamie Barlow - Operations Manager

Jamie is new to the team starting in September 2017. Jamie and his wife Tara emigrated to New Zealand 5 years ago from the Island of Guernsey.

They have settled in Timaru with their young family of 2 boys a 9-year-old and a 5-month-old baby. Jamie has a background knowledge in Silage and Balage, he originally came out to NZ as an operator of silage chopper’s and round/ square balers for his previous boss, he quickly moved up the ranks and was appointed as an operations manager for the large agricultural company.

Jamie is a great guy to have supporting Grant run the business, his knowledge around contracting and machinery is an absolute asset to the team. His leadership and organization skills and ability to work as part of the team are shining through. He is quickly learning about the area that we cover and building great relationships with current and future clients.

He clearly understands that service, communication and customer satisfaction is key even in the busiest of days.

James Yerbury - Workshop Manager

James joined the team in 2014 as head mechanic and workshop manager. James lives in Timaru with his wife Alana, 4-year-old son Romeo, new baby Maximus.

James came with a back ground in more petrol mechanics than diesel, however these days he spends most of his days keeping 18 Volvo trucks with trailers and 20 plus cars and Utes on the road as well as attending to any call outs that require his skills. James has another mechanic and two engineers under him.

James and Grant work closely together, keeping up with R/M on all vehicles. James embraces the challenge of working with a wide range of vehicles and he often says, “no two days are the same at Kinsman’s”
